Terry Basford

ROLE:
Terryann Basford is the founder and Managing Principal of 4b Technology Group and oversees the firms day to day operations. Terry is also Principal in Charge of every 4b project, ultimately responsible for the performance and quality of the completed project.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Terry has been in the communications technology industry for nearly 30 years. She managed new construction and renovation projects for a national installation firm before working as a technology consultant. She also designed information technology systems and telecommunications infrastructure to support voice, data, video and wireless communication systems. Terry worked closely on the construction documentation process and installation oversight. She brings this experience to the benefit of 4b clients today, resulting in seamlessly integrated systems that fulfill the design intent.

Terry has served as Principal in Charge on more than 100 major educational, healthcare, research, commercial and airport projects. She takes an active hands-on role with every 4b project, providing design reviews and quality control. Terry founded 4b Technology on the core values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Commitment, Reputation and Friendliness.

PERSONAL:
Terry formed 4b to be one cross-functional team; she enjoys mentoring 4b employees to be more active contributors in the firm’s operations and growth. She is also very active in many professional associations for the technology and building industries. She uses the rest of her energy to try and keep up with her grandchildren.

Geoff Basford, RCDD

ROLE:
Geoff Basford is Vice President and Senior Design Consultant for Healthcare, Higher Education and Science & Technology projects at 4b Technology Group. Geoff manages projects from programming and schematic design through design development, coordination of construction documents and into bid evaluation and construction administration.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Geoff more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) specializing in Technology, Security and AV design engineering and project management. He has performed effectively in project coordination roles, ensuring open lines of communications and tracking project tasks to milestones. He is well versed in the development of design documents in the Revit and AutoCAD platforms and has delivered written specifications in accordance with CSI Master Format guidelines. He has developed design guidelines, boilerplate specifications, and performed detailed facilities assessments for clients all over the United States.

Geoff has a BBA in Communications from Seton Hall University and has been with the company for over nine years. He likes to spend his time away from the office with his family traveling and experiencing the sights and things Texas has to offer.

Mark Basford, RCDD/ESS

ROLE:
Mark Basford is Vice President and Senior Design Consultant for Education, Government and Transportation/Aviation projects. Mark manages projects through schematic design and development, coordination of construction documents, bid negotiation, and construction administration. He is the primary point of contact for consultants and team members.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
With over 25 years of experience in designing and managing the implementation of Technology, Security and A/V solutions, Mark understands the discovery process and helps his clients use Technology to solve problems and achieve objectives. Prior to joining 4b Technology Group in 2002, Mark was an IT Project Manager at a major multi-national firm. He managed diverse teams specializing in LAN and WAN implementation, Network Security, Network Operation Centers, Internet Content Management/e-Commerce Systems Development, and Technology Product/Service Branding.

PERSONAL:
Mark received his BBA in Marketing from Baylor University, and his Master of International Management (Global MBA), from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management in Communications. In his spare time Mark enjoys forging specialty knives and developing his culinary skills.

Ron Leger, RCDD/ESS/OSP

ROLE:
Ron Leger is Lead Designer and Senior Consultant for Healthcare, Government and Higher Education projects. Ron is adept at design/redesign of multi-layer telecom, security, outside plant, and healthcare specialty systems. He is proficient in project planning, execution, field observation and the ability to support simultaneous projects.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Ron has 20+ years experience in the design, specification and management of complex Information Technology Systems (ITS) projects. He works collaboratively with the client’s design team, representing the client’s interest and concerns, coordinating the system design and developing creative alternatives so that the telecommunication, security, network, and/or AV infrastructure are integrated into overall design of the project. Ron leads the system design effort and preparation of Contract Documents, consisting of AutoCAD/Revit drawings and CSI-format specifications detailing the system design and programming criteria.
